What is SmartPanel?

SmartPanel is a survey site that pays you for installing their app on your phone; letting it monitor what you do on the web – the ads you click, the sites you visit, and general internet usage behavior. Additionally, the SmartPanel app can be downloaded on any device as a browser extension or mobile app.

SmartPanel is managed and operated by a group called the Data Decisions Group. The Data Decisions Group has not always been known by that name. On March 1st, 2016, FGI Research and Analytics (FGI) and Web Decisions Group (WDG) merged and became the powerful Data Decisions group.

Basically, the Data Decisions group was established to provide complete marketing insight and actions to clients who’d come to it for their market research solutions.
In addition, they operate and run SmartPanel, run the Smart App (the name of the mobile app) that enables users to take surveys and get paid for their opinions.

Currently, SmartPanel is no longer in operation. This review is still available for the purpose of letting you know how they operate just in case they come back in business, you can make an informed decision about joining, or not.

How to join SmartPanel community?

Step 1

Start by signing up. To do this, visit the Data Decision’s website homepage to locate the SmartPanel gateway.

Step 2

Click the “Join Now” button. You’d be required to fill in your email and residential address. Then answer a questionnaire. This brief survey takes no longer than 3 minutes. The survey enables the company to determine your demographic information.

Step 3

Smartpanel pays $10.00 for each device you install the Smart App on for the first week.

Ensure that the software is running in the background. If not, you won’t be able to receive rewards. The software won’t collect your information and subsequently won’t process payment.

Furthermore, if you qualify for SmartPanel’s program, you earn $5.00. You’re also paid $5.00 later on for each hardware you connect to their system via your account.

You can check the Smart App for notifications for surveys or your email.

For every survey you receive, you’d be informed about the payment option available; either PayPal or Amazon gift cards.

Here’s how Smart Panel prize draws work.

They hold draws every month. Furthermore, members are sent email invitations to participate. This means you can’t participate if you did not receive this email. If you get the email, you stand a chance of winning a prize for completing the survey.

After completing the survey, you gain one entry into the draw. If you receive more than one invitation it means more entries and more chances of winning.

Finally, at the end of the month, SmartPanel selects winners randomly using electronic draws provided by Data Decisions.

Yes, it is. The Smart App does not collect any password or username of yours. It also makes use of a VPN to ensure the safety of your data.

Is there no minimum threshold cashout? When can I redeem payment?

You have to install and let the Smart App run for at least 30 days before you can redeem your earnings.

Does the Smart App require internet connection?

Any internet connection you use can be used by the Smart App – WiFi, 3G, and even EDGE. If you are not online, the app will automatically reconnect to the internet once you’re connected.

Can the Smart App slow my internet speed?

No. It won’t have any impact on it. The app runs as a background service on your device. Consequently, the effect on your phone’s performance depends on what phone model you use. I did not come across anyone having this kind of issue.
